Annual elections for the South County Community Advisory Council – formerly the Nipomo Community Advisory Council – will take place from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday.
The council advises the San Luis Obispo County Board of Supervisors on south county issues. The council’s advisory area covers territory from Los Berros Road south to the county line.
The council consists of two representatives from each of the seven geographical areas in the south county, and two special interest representatives. Voters will choose two people from their own geographical area, one for agriculture and one for public safety.
The elections will be held at the Nipomo Community Services District building, 148 S. Wilson Ave.
The NCAC election web page is located here. The elections take place from 11:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., and the Nipomo Community Services District Building, located at 148 S. Wilson. Remember that the NCAC is the closest group we have in terms of any input to the County Board of Supervisors in San Luis Obispo. Unless and until Nipomo incorporates into a city, the Board of Supervisors will continue to make land use decisions for Nipomo. To have a greater voice in those land use decisions, we need a strong and viable NCAC. Please turn out to vote.
