Nipomo–From County to City?

The Nipomo Incorporation Committee for Education (NICE) is holding another community gathering, which will be moderated by the Katcho Achadjian, San Luis Obispo County 4th District Supervisor.   The details are:

Date 03/28/09

Time:  9:00 a.m to 12:00

Location:  Avila Room in the Monarch Club of Triology at The Woodlands

The program, moderated by Katcho will include:

Q & A with San Luis Obispo County Staff who are instrumental in determining Nipomo’s character.  Some of the questions to be addressed include:

Chuck Stevenson–Planning:

What is the future of Old Town?

What Specific Plans are moving through the county?

Dave Flynn–Public Works:

What are the current plans for the Tefft Street Interchange?

What additional roads are planned to relieve congestion at Pomeroy?

Pete Jenny–Parks and Recreation:

Would the community park stay with the county or transfer to the new city if Nipomo incorporated?

Paul Hood–LAFCO:

What is the incorporation process for Nipomo, i.e., time lines, costs?
